It is hard to believe it is 2nd semester all ready! The first went by quick. I’m looking forward to another great semester with your child. I just ask that they keep working hard and putting their best foot forward. Everybody starts each quarter with an “A”, it is up to them to keep it.

Please look for your child’s AR Goal Update sheet. I have listed the quarterly goals along with where you child stands as of 1/6/2020. Please keep encouraging your child to read and take ARs. I know they are capable of meeting that end of year goal, but they have to keep working at it. Most of this class met that goal last year and were able to go bowling!

You may notice notebook paper coming home along with math homework. I’m asking that they show all their work on the notebook paper and then transfer the actual answer to the worksheet. As you may have noticed Pearson doesn’t give them enough room to solve most problems.

There are two pages after each weekly story that covers our grammar skills for the week. If your child is struggling in this area, this is a good review.

We will be going outside when we can. Please make sure your child brings more than just a sweatshirt/hoodie for a coat. Gloves and hats are also good. If they need a coat, hat, or gloves PLEASE let me know!
