8th grade students in Mrs. Steinkuhler’s English class just finished reading The Outsiders. This activity consisted of them sorting evidence to decide whether Johnny Cade was guilty or innocent. Students then argued their case and had the jury(their classmates) decide the case. Students in Mrs. Steinkuhler’s 9th grade English class did “The Most Dangerous Game” challenge after reading the short story. Students had to work together and communicate to be successful.

A special thank you to Lewis Bybee and Steve Bargfrede, Veterans representing the 40 and 8 Patriotic Organization, for speaking with our first grade students today about our American Flag. Students learned about what our flag stands for, how to take care of our flag, and how to fold the flag. Each student was presented with a flag and information to take home to their families. Thank you for your service gentlemen!

Mrs. Winston's Health class learned about CPR and first aid. They ended with a training session with the school nurse and was able to practice what they had learned. 7th grade FACS created various ways to shown resilience. Some created an interactive game, while other students created a commercial to talk about being resilient when something bad happens to you. Others created comic strips or gave a speech on the topic. Very creative with productive discussion.
