Congratulations to Drayton & Ashtyn!

This Friday, March 20th is the JH dance for grades 7-8. Students must be academically eligible. Dance is from 6:30-8:30 pm. Wear your neon! Come for snacks, dancing and fun! Drop off and pick up at the high school front doors. Doors will open at 6:20 pm. Dance is sponsored and paid for by the HS Student Council.

Today Joey Rapp signed a letter of intent to run track at Missouri Valley College. Joey has worked very hard to attain this accomplishment! Good luck this track season and in the future! #greyhoundgrit


Weekly Events

Students in English I finished reading Fahrenheit 451. The activity involved hexagonal thinking. They had to collaborate to connect the characters, quotes, and ideas of the story. The students then reflected over their strongest and weakest connections using evidence from the text.





Winter sports banquet was held tonight to recognize the basketball and competition cheerleaders and basketball players. Thank you to the players, coaches and families! Thank you to the Booster Club for providing a great meal!






Congratulations to Drayton Hampton and Ashtyn Johnson, both received honorable mention I-70 All Conference honors for basketball.

Congratulations to the 5th & 6th grade girls basketball team for winning the Santa Fe tournament!

Today we hosted the I70 Scholar Bowl. Our team competed well with Joanna Rhea and Abigail Rhea earning all-conference honors. Congratulations!


High School Winter Sports Banquet is Thursday!

Junior High FACS students are finishing up their pillow recreations for elementary students. This semester, egg coloring pages were completed by 3rd grade students and the FACS students are recreating them as small pillows. Finished pillows will be posted soon!




Today the Junior class got to attend Saline County Government day. They met with elected county officials, toured the county courthouse and went to the jail.

Students in Health class have been learning about First Aid/CPR. Today, they were able to practice what they had learned. A big thank you to Taryn Lee and Marc Johnson for helping our students gain this valuable experience.








Students in Junior High FACS classes learned basic hand sewing techniques. They then put their skills to use in repairing a seam in a shirt and replacing a button that aligned to the buttonhole.









Congratulations to the 5th & 6th grade girls basketball team for their 1st place finish in the Concordia Lion's Club tournament. Go Hounds!
