FACS Classes: We had 14 groups in our Cupcake Wars this semester. A very difficult vote took place as there were a lot of great themes and fun ideas! They did such a great job!

This week, health class participated in CPR/First Aid training





HCC has scheduled our free school physicals for 4/3/25, starting around 9 am.
HCC has partnered with our school to provide free sports physicals for students in grades 6-12 on 4/3/2025. These are good for two years and required for sports and band participation. Please sign your student up using the QR code. Please contact Nurse Taryn or Ms. Julie with any questions.
MSHSAA sports physical form will also have to be completed, available in the High School front office.

Student council sponsored a Block the Door fundraiser for the food pantry. Grades 7-12 brought in a total of 216 lbs of food to donate! Way to go Hounds!


High School Track, Baseball and Softball will be starting on March 3rd. Any student that wants to participate will need a physical on file in the office along with a preparticipation form.

8th grade life skills class has been learning about careers and the expectations and responsibilities that go with having a job. They have looked at potential career paths based on their interests, filled out job applications, and participated in mock interviews.

Upcoming: Vaccine Clinic at Sweet Springs R-7 on March 27, 2025
If your child is in need of necessary vaccines required for school, the Saline County Health Department is partnering with Sweet Springs R-7 to help students access needed vaccinations for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. They will be here to administer vaccines needed for students going into kindergarten, 8th grade and 12th grade on 3/27/2025.
State law and health regulations require students to be properly immunized and provide verification to attend school, unless they have an appropriate exemption card on file.
If you would like to take part in this service, please access the form via the QR code below. If your child is uninsured, there are resources available.
Please have the form completed no later than Friday, February 28th in order for vaccinations to be ordered for clinic date.
